Repeat of the 04/29/09 Mexico and U.S. Traveler Update follows this blog.

Today, we’re going to drift back into the past for a bit of music that’s become synonymous with the beach, the sea and relaxing, not to mention long boards and the search for big surf as we present another in our regular series of island music, past, present and future. This one’s from the immortal Sandals, from the mother of all surfing movies, Endless Summer. We thought it might be a good idea for everyone to step back a bit from the influenza outbreaks occurring to a time when the music helped heal the heart and soothe the soul.

For those looking for Travel to Cancun, Mexico information, among other news of the day, give the video a click and read below for updates.

Thank you so much for all of the information that you have shared. My daughter and I have had a vacation planned for the 2nd week in June for several months now and I will be keeping an eye on the situation very closly. I had the good fortune of vacationing to Cozumel 2 years ago and I had such a wonderful experience I decided to travel back to Mexico to experience Cancun. I am really, really hoping that I won’t need to cancel our plans.

Louise~ Cozumel is one of my favorite places in and around the Yucatan, the Isla was a favorite for me back in the late eighties and early nineties. Be sure and check out the Little Isla, Mujeres, while in Cancun. We’ve all got our fingers crossed with this thing and here’s hoping June has you on the beach in Cancun! ;-)

I’ve just heard this evening that there are 6 probable cases of Swine Flu being reported in my home state of Maryland. All are in or near the city of Baltimore which is about an hour from my home. They aren’t confirmed as of yet but we should know something tomorrow for sure. Wow this just keeps getting crazier by the minute. I’ll definitely need that beach come June!
